The directions were out at the last minute, with apparently scouting / setting happening the night before – perhaps literally at night!
Nonetheless we set off out past Doi Saket, and the HHH signs were hidden and I twice drove past signs – luckily Danny was paying attention the second time. Hare brief given we set off across a field, and at the first check Brownie and I both spotted what looked like it might be paper off to the right – we were right, and he was off like a greyhound, nailing several checks in a row.
We seemed to be going around to the left and there was a big group heading along smoothly together – brought back together by some hidden skiddy sticks – there were no skiddy sticks, but on more than one occasion the hare had abruptly changed direction, and the racists at the front ran straight past the turn, like a flock of lemmings.
Up the side of a hill to a temple, only to cut straight back down the other side and out onto the road for a couple of kms back on the road. My shoes have now been tossed, and hopefully the new ones will work better…
