We were out at a new runsite off the Sameong Road, at a nice little resort that I remember visiting about 10 years back. Right at the far end (away from the other visitors) we parked up next to a little creek. Hare brief over we set off down the side of the river, and quickly got to a familiar circle check… – the bottom of the 990 steps to the temple on the hill. On the plus side, I’d got my bearings, but on the downside getting there from a different direction meant I had no idea which way we were going – was it up the steps? Perhaps… So I set off up, out of ear shot of those calling OnOn down below. Bugger!
With few checks it took me a couple of km to catch the FRBs as we worked our way up a gruelling climb (not the steps, but near them). The Wimp trail looked tempting, but the hares had lovingly put in an extra ridge for the runners and I duly obliged. Back down and we hit the rubber wall – along the wall, and into the quarry before along the edge of the ricefields. Cunningly disguised trail had us grouping in the fields before Brown Finger, Graven and I led the way out via the bamboo bridge. Except Graven didn’t take the bridge and left Brownie and I to run through the village together. We took our time waiting for Graven to catch up, only for him to appear in front of us, short cutting bastard!
Fun circle and another good hash.
